In August, Rebecca traded her usual remote setup for Australia for a week to connect with clients in person, build new relationships, and dive into the future of business development.
The trip was a milestone moment, marking the first time Rebecca met many of her clients face-to-face. A standout highlight was delivering a presentation and leading a discussion on winning work in an AI-driven world. Following the event, she joined the team at HLB Mann Judd to dig deeper into the topic, sparking some incredibly insightful conversations about where the industry is headed.
Connecting with Todd Gammel, Steve Grivas, and the wider HLB team was great fun. Getting to swap screen-to-screen calls for real-world collaboration made the visit all the more memorable.
While the work was incredibly rewarding, Rebecca made sure to balance business with plenty of fun. Between meetings, she spent time sightseeing, meeting new people, and even embarking on a lively salsa night. She ultimately returned home with a packed calendar, a bottle of Australian red, a classic kangaroo keyring, and, in an unexpected, less glamorous twist, a case of the flu. Despite the unwanted souvenir, it was a fantastic week full of great memories and genuine connections.
