The Real Deal

All members of our team have extensive experience in their area of expertise.
We tell people to be careful as there are many unqualified people who claim they are marketers but do not have any, or only have very little, experience.

Diverse and together

We believe in having a range of ages, disabilities and backgrounds on the team, as it mirrors society and the broad range of audiences we market to.

It gives us greater insight when we are putting marketing plans together.

With a degree in Public Relations, I have built a diverse career spanning corporate communications, entrepreneurship, and consulting. I spent five years at Honeywell as a Communications Specialist, leading marketing communications across various market segments and driving employee communications initiatives. At General Motors in Detroit, I served as a Business Communications Integrator, ensuring consistent and effective delivery of corporate messages to plant employees.

Following my corporate experience, I launched and operated my own communications business, providing writing, editing, and content creation services to a wide range of clients. I then embraced entrepreneurship in a different form as the owner of Christy’s, a bar I operated for seven years. In this role, I managed all aspects of the business, including daily operations, staff management, financial oversight, events, entertainment, marketing, and public relations.

Today, I am the owner of CLS Consulting, where I help businesses elevate their brand presence through social media content creation, writing, editing, and design.

John writes, interviews for and edits professional podcasts. Podcasts that sit across a pretty broad mix of subjects. Education, careers, health and wellbeing and faith communities.

He also produces online and corporate video. Shooting has taken him into Europe, to cover pharmaceutical conferences and across the UK for the documentary “You don’t know me from Adam”, the story of Jeannette Crizzle, who died from acute myeloid leukaemia and how her legacy helped to shape policy around organ donation.

This fascination with stories comes from John’s roots in radio presenting. Working on all sorts of formats up and down the country, he’s interviewed academics, politicians, actors, directors, musicians – from Paul Heaton and Paolo Nutini to the cast of Lord of The Rings.
