How your target clients choose you

The following research has helped our clients understand their own potential clients. Targets will search for information from at least three sources to confirm their decision to engage you.

  • 5% look at online reviews;
  • 30% like to hear you speak; (which is why podcasts/videos/social reels are so important)
  • 20% read blogs and articles you have written;
  • 17% will have had some interaction with you on social media;
  • 15% will have read a book that you’ve written;
  • 8% think your website is good; and
  • 5% do an online search. (If they search for you, you want them to see the reels/podcasts/videos)

You need to be sure that you feature in these different sources. The point is that your competition will be present online and if their presence is better than yours they may well get chosen because of it.

Try doing a Google search on yourself and your firm to see what comes up. Are you happy with what you see?
